Sugar Woman

Sugar woman is an alter-ego which I spent a year reiterating. The first performance was 30 minutes long and then was extended a second time for 2 hours. In the piece I explore themes of maturity vs youth and the idea of letting go of my sweetness and innocence through pouring out sugar from extensions of my body to the floor. I finally painted imagery of the figure with sugar and oil paint to create a relic of this transformative process.
